We have built OrderWriter, a buying tool for retailers in the fashion- and shoe industry. With this tool we help retailers keep up with the high-pace fashion industry without worrying about technology.

We've also developed FashionExchange, a transformative platform that allows brands and retailers to work together by sharing data and eliminating inefficient manual labor.

Company history

2013. David Schaap starts Nyon after seeing how old-fashioned the fashion industry was handling their buying orders. Van den Assem Schoenen is the launching customer.

2014. Erwin Rossen leaves ASML to join Nyon as our CTO.

2015. FashionExchange is invented. A modern way of doing EDI.

2016. Van Bommel Schoenen joins as the launching customer for the pilot version of FashionExchange. The Nyon team grows to 8 people. A new version of the OrderWriter is released. Alies ter Kuile leaves Kempen & Co to join Nyon as our CFO.

2017. FashionExchange is officially released in the shoe industry. Nyon grows 100%+ and passes 100 retailers in The Netherlands and Belgium. Shoe suppliers like Via Vai, Fred de la Bretonière, RedRag & Develab, Durea, and De Hooijer Groep (Birkenstock, Finn Comfort) join FashionExchange.

2018. FashionExchange launches in the fashion industry with suppliers like Summum, Studio Anneloes, Aaiko, and Kyra & Ko. FashionExchange continues to grow (also internationally) with suppliers like Bestseller, Gabor, MAC Jeans and Gant joining.

2018-October. Nyon merges with FASHION CLOUD, the news is announced in this blogpost.
